Home sweet home .. ? ON Thursday, February 7, 2013 AT 7:07 PM
Perhaps there's another meaning to the saying "
home sweet home?"
I'm now home from Brussels ^^ The trip went good and I was home around 10:30PM with all my stuff and gifts intact. I didn't do much more that night though, other than going to sleep. I was exhausted.
Anyhow, I will start to cover this trip bit by bit, not necessarily in any order. Just what I feel like writing about ^^ And right now I'm in a good mood so why not start with that -
chocolate.
So, on Saturday we went to a Chocolate Museum near Grand Place. ^^ It was an hour long thing, about, and we spent the first 15-20 minutes listening to the person above! He was so cute (the pictures doesn't give him proper credit, really) and he explained very well so even though it was in French, I was able to understand about 70% of what he was talking about.
Above is a block of chocolate. Apparently every "chocolate house" uses the same block, but then they add their own personal flavors which makes the chocolate different in every house.
Down below follows a series of pictures I took in
one of the many chocolate shops in Brussels! There were lots of them all around the city and you could almost smell the chocolate in the air. I swear, Brussels is a chocolate heaven for anyone who likes it. I'm not a particularly big fan, but I enjoy it from time to time. ^^
(I tasted one of these at another shop and the tiramisu-flavored one is amazing!)
As you can see, the interior is perfectly matched with the sweetness of the candy they sell! ♥ I really love spending time in them, even though I'm not buying anything. (The chocolate was, even though it was super yummy, very expensive and so I didn't buy much.)
That's actually all I've got on the chocolate front ~ ^^; Sorry. I did mean to take more pictures of all this, but in the end I just didn't remember. Brussels was just too distracting!
If I get the chance, I'd love to go again. Perhaps with a bit more money this time ~
